Yoga incorporates both philosophy and science. Although we may be drawn to practicing yoga for its positive effects upon our health, the practice gradually helps us to let go of the borders and definitions which limit the scope of our mind. The goal of the practice of yoga is to gain insight into the nature of mind.

Yoga is a practical science - dedication to its practice will enable you to resolve the idea of separateness between the self and other, between subject and object, individual and the universe. The word yoga refers in its meaning to 'union', this union is  the experience of selflessness, the experience of freedom, liberation. 

Yoga is an art, a tradition of inner exploration and discovery. The art has existed for centuries, with its various paths -  Karma, Bhakti, Jnana and Raja yoga.
